The series Home, was inspired when I began flying over Melbourne's inner and outer Suburbs. A varied metropolis ranging from both busy and quiet environments is a true representation of this place. I wanted to pay respect to my hometown and share some hidden secrets or places that otherwise wouldn't be visible from the ground.
This series of images is very important to me in many ways that might not be distinguishable for others. I wanted to showcase landmarks in this localised area especially for those who live in the area who might be interested in a new perspective on a familiar place.
Although this is typically a rather short body of work that I'm used to putting together, I thought it was important to isolate each of these locations for one main reason. They all play a part in where I have spent my time in one way or another. Driving up and down highways, parking my car for shoots or even my family neighbourhood undergoing major developments.
I am an eastern suburbs boy, for anyone in Melbourne that might mean something for anyone else, I am just another Aussie that comes from this beautiful place. I think it's important to mention hear as all images are captured between the CBD and the Glen Waverley area.
